The IG Game™
Information Governance Statement of Compliance (IGSoC)
Any
organisation receiving services from NHS Connecting for
Health (NHS CFH) must
complete an Information Governance
Statement of Compliance (IGSoC).
The IGSoC
is the agreement between NHS CFH and Approved Service
Recipients that sets out the information governance policy
and terms and conditions for use of NHS CFH services.
To achieve
compliance GP Practices must register for the NHS IG Toolkit
(IGT) and attain level 2 for each of the 8 requirements
listed in the 118 guidance sheet.
The IG Game™
The IG
Game™ is a scenario-based board game that makes Information
Governance easier to understand and implement by relating IG
issues to practical everyday situations.
The IG Game has
been developed with guidance from the NHS CFH IGSoC
Communications Team and references the requirements of
version 5.0 of the NHS IG Toolkit. The IG Game™ has been
recognised by UKCHIP.
The IG Game™ is a ready-to-use learning and planning tool
designed to help GP Practice and Pharmacy staff to achieve
and maintain compliance with the IG Toolkit and IGSoC.
Each game kit
comes complete with a set of tools and templates to help you
improve IG.
How The IG Game™ works
The IG Game is fun to play and specially developed scenarios
stimulate debates that relate IG issues to everyday
situations. This improves understanding and allows players
to weave IG into their daily working routines.
